Specialties
Learn to see what others miss.
Anyone can spot a big, colourful fish — but what happens when you start to truly understand what you're looking at? With this specialty you turn every dive into a nature documentary, recognising relationships and behaviours you used to miss.
The main groups of aquatic life and how they interact, the role of aquatic plants, predator–prey relationships and food chains, facts that dispel the myths about "dangerous" marine animals, and techniques for observing without disturbing life on the bottom.
The course is usually completed in 1 day.
PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent.
A completely different way of experiencing every dive: no longer "a blue fish", but an ecosystem you can read and appreciate. This certification also counts towards Advanced Open Water Diver and Master Scuba Diver.
